A financial planning house has achieved savings of almost $4,000 a month after installing a Formfile system costing less than $6,000.

Somewhat ironically, Jandrew first required an extensive pre sales educational campaign to address its staff's negative perceptions about colour coded filing systems.

The Challenge

Jandrew director, Andy McClou was primarily concerned with maintaining the aesthetic appearance of his office space, while continuing to accommodate his expanding filing requirements. He wanted space for 4,000 files plus room to accommodate future growth.

While training staff on the use of the colour coded system, Formfile identified the extent of Jandew's misfiling and the cost of keeping client's on hold while searching for misplaced files.

The designated filing area had one full height back wall and only one other wall suitable to host filing cabinets. The problem was that the second wall had half height glass partitioning which began below the height of a traditional filing cabinet.

The Solution

• Cost less than $6,000
• Achieved a $1,900 saving a month in misfiles
• Achieved a $1,800 saving a month in access time
• Provided 36 linear meters of file storage against back wall using the Versatrac system - 2x 1200mm static bays
• An additional mobile unit was placed in front of the back wall
• 2 x (4x2x900mm static bays) were placed against the half height glass partitioned wall
